About One of These Nights

Hailing from Colorado Springs, JD Madrid learned to play acoustic guitar at around the age of 17. Shortly thereafter, he joined the U.S. Air Force. After his stint in the military, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to cultivate his songwriting and performance skills and then moved to sunny Phoenix, Arizona in January of 2000.

JD has shared the stage with such greats as Buddy Miles & Billy Cox (Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies), Bobby Kimball (Toto), and opened for "Men at Work"'s Colin Hay.

He is currently performing for audiences in Arizona & Colorado, most often as a solo performer, but has also formed multiple combos including several duo partners, an acoustic trio, a rock/dance band, and has joined forces with the incredibly talented musicians of the Eagles tribute band "One of These Nights".

Ross Brotman is a Phoenix-based professional drummer and multi-instrumentalist whose career has taken him from jazz clubs and concert stages to national and international touring productions. With decades of experience behind the kit, Ross brings a rare combination of musical versatility, technical expertise, and real-world stage experience to every performance.

His musical journey began as a young child. Both of Ross' parents were musical. His mother is an accomplished drummer herself and Ross' first drum set was hers. His parents taught an appreciation for the great American bands such as Chicago, CCR and of course Eagles. After high school Ross moved on to formal studies at Northern Arizona University, where he attended on a full music scholarship, followed by studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston from 1997 to 1999. Since then, Ross has built a career performing across a broad spectrum of styles and settings — from Top 40 and contemporary bands to national and international tribute acts.

A passionate student of music in all its forms, Ross has deep roots in jazz as well. His performance credits include performing at the International Association of Jazz Educators convention in Anaheim as well as a 2 year stint with the house jazz trio at the legendary Arizona Biltmore.

Beyond the stage, Ross is heavily involved with music ministry at his home church and is an active songwriter.

Ross lives in Gilbert with his 3 children. Spending time with them is the biggest love of his life.

Steven Deyoung has been playing keyboards and singing lead and harmonies in pop, rock, and country bands in the Chicago area since 1978, and in Arizona since 2024. He rocked with Pegasus and Freefall in high school, as well as concert, marching, jazz, and symphonic bands. He is a founding member of Dawn Patrol — an 80s rock tribute focused on Night Ranger, Loverboy, and more — and a founding member of Heart 2 Heartbreaker (h2htribute.com), a Heart and Pat Benatar tribute that continues to play in the Chicago area. He has also served as the piano player and singing partner for duets with singer Diva Montell's one-woman show.

Once he moved to Arizona, Steven joined One of These Nights as keyboardist and singer in 2025. His influences span a wide range — from keyboardists Keith Jarrett, Oscar Peterson, Ray Charles, Mozart, Debussy, and Beethoven, to keyboardist/singers Dennis DeYoung, Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Steve Walsh, to artists Sting, Peter Frampton, Jonathan Cain, Steven Tyler, Lou Gramm, Jeff Lynne, Don Henley, Neil Peart, Geddy Lee, and Alex Lifeson. Outside of music, Steven retired from the US Navy after 29 years honorable service as an Engineering Duty Officer. He is a Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan and a life member of the VFW.

Steven works hard to reproduce songs note for note as they were recorded on the original studio versions. His current live setup includes an 88-key Roland RD2000 stage piano and a 61-key Roland D-50 as upper keyboard for strings, organ, and other sounds. For in-ear monitors, Steven uses a Behringer headphone amp and Mackie earbuds.

Phoenix, Arizona native Nick Sterling brings nearly three decades of stage experience to One of These Nights, an impressive career for a musician still only 36 years old. A former child prodigy, Nick began performing at an early age and has since developed into an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, equally at home on bass, guitar, drums, and keyboards.

Beyond his work with One of These Nights, Nick is an experienced session musician and also has extensive touring experience throughout the United States and internationally. Years spent performing in a wide range of musical settings have shaped him into a versatile player with a strong command of arrangement, feel, tone, and ensemble playing.

In One of These Nights, Nick anchors the band on bass while contributing the high harmony vocals that are so essential to the Eagles sound. He also takes the lead on songs originally sung by Randy Meisner and Timothy B. Schmit, bringing two distinct eras of the Eagles catalog to life with careful attention to both the vocal and instrumental details.

That attention extends to his instruments as well. Nick uses a Rickenbacker bass for the Randy Meisner material and a Fender Jazz Bass for the Timothy B. Schmit songs, helping capture the character and texture associated with each player's sound.

With decades of performing experience, multi-instrumental ability, worldwide touring experience, and a lifelong career in music, Nick brings authenticity, versatility, and seasoned musicianship to the One of These Nights stage.

Jared grew up on a farm in rural central Nebraska. At 18, Jared discovered an old acoustic guitar tucked away in an upstairs room of the abandoned family farmhouse. That discovery sparked a lifelong passion for the instrument.

In 2001 Jared moved to Los Angeles, California, where he studied guitar under Grammy Award-winning jazz and fusion guitarist Frank Gambale at the Los Angeles College of Music in Pasadena. After graduating, Jared returned to Nebraska and enrolled in the University of Nebraska's Westbrook School of Music, earning his Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2009, with guitar as his principal instrument.

Later that year, Jared relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Deeply influenced by the guitar-driven sounds of classic rock, he began performing with tribute bands and quickly discovered a unique talent: not only could he reproduce the playing styles of iconic guitarists, but he could also capture their stage presence and personalities through a method-acting approach.

In 2024, Jared auditioned and was hired for the role of Joe Walsh in One of These Nights, recognized as one of North America's premier Eagles tribute bands. For Jared, stepping into the role of one of his greatest musical heroes has been a dream come true.

Originally from Wasilla, Alaska, Tommy Weaver moved to Arizona in 2017 and has since become a familiar face in the Phoenix-area music scene. A guitarist for more than 30 years, Tommy's playing is shaped by a lifelong mix of country, blues, and rock, with a style that blends melodic phrasing, strong rhythm work, and classic guitar tones.

Music runs deep in his family. With roots in a family of musicians, Tommy grew up surrounded by the sounds and influences that would eventually shape his own playing. Over the years, he has performed with numerous bands throughout the Phoenix area, building experience across a wide range of styles and live settings.

His connection to the Eagles started early after getting the Hell Freezes Over DVD and becoming obsessed with the band's songs, harmonies, and guitar work. In 2017, he saw One Of These Nights perform live for the first time. Today, he feels incredibly fortunate to experience that same show from the stage.

Tommy performs with a double-neck Epiphone SG, Gibson Les Paul, and Fender Telecaster, running a Neural DSP Quad Cortex for amplification and effects. He is also proud to perform with Justice Pedal Steel Guitars, adding authentic steel guitar tones to the band's sound.
